Lifestyle

Traditionally people who meditated to become Enlightened have adhered to a strict set of rules regarding lifestyle. These included vegetarianism, abstaining from alcohol and recreational drugs; quite often celibacy was required. Our purpose is to make this Journey available to the masses as at this time the state of our planet is perilous and is in great need of an enormous injection of Spirituality.

With this in mind we need to be more relaxed and sensible as to what we ask of the seeker. All we would suggest is that you look at all things intelligently and adopt a principle of moderation. The reason the constraints were imposed in the first place was to give the meditator the best chance of communing with the Spiritual Energies. So if you are struggling with your meditation you would be wise to consider the way you are treating your body.

What is also important is your levels of stress and you will need to address issues of commitment and time management if you are to reach your Spiritual goal. Initially we are asking you to build your meditation to one hour each day but if higher states of consciousness are to be reached, longer meditations will be required in the future. Having said that it is the quality of a meditation that is important not necessarily the quantity.

On receiving the Divine Spark and resonating with the Light and Sound you will soon learn that you cannot control these Energies. They will only appear when you are completely open and will take you by surprise. Therefore we encourage the practice of charitable acts to create a “space within”, making it more likely for you to receive during meditation.

“Everything has a crack in it, that’s how the Light gets in.” (Leonard Cohen)

Exercise

Although meditators are training to become Spiritual warriors and not physical athletes, a degree of exercise would not go amiss. We would recommend the more gentle pursuits of walking, cycling, swimming and yoga. Regularity is preferable and short bursts of energy during the exercise could be considered. Don’t forget that in most cases you can combine the above with a visit to Mother Nature: this will enhance the whole experience and turn a potential chore into a pleasure that you will want to repeat.

Vegetarianism

We would highly recommend that you work towards a vegetarian diet (no meat, fish or eggs) but still include dairy products. If you wish to do this, make changes gradually over a time period of several months, otherwise it can be a great shock to the body; we know this from personal experience!  As you meditate more you will become more sensitive and you may find yourself making vegetarian choices naturally. This is the perfect way to approach this subject :- “Listen to your own body.”

Scientifically it has been shown that the human body can digest plant based food about 3 times faster than food of an animal origin. Also research indicates that vegetarians tend to be healthier and as a consequence live typically 5 years longer than the norm. However, it is not longevity that we are recommending this for but to assist in stilling the body so that you can become more conscious of the incredible subtleties within your meditation.

Alcohol

Alcohol affects different people in different ways which are also quantity dependent. When you sit to meditate it is important that you can focus totally and your perception is crystal clear. If you have consumed large amounts of alcohol you will find this impossible and it will serve only to muddle your vision. Therefore we have to recommend a low alcohol intake especially if you wish to reach the higher states of consciousness.
There are so many non-alcoholic or low alcohol drinks on the market now that you can still have an active social life and enjoy the wonderful benefits of meditation at the same time. Just practice moderation!

Drugs

It is recreational drugs that we are speaking of here not the drugs, prescribed by your doctor/pharmacist, for medicinal purposes. These drugs by definition, will always alter your state of consciousness through biochemical processes. This can lead to permanent damage physically, emotionally and mentally and in the short term will impede your ability to meditate properly.

We therefore strongly advise that you seek to expand your consciousness and experience euphoric states using the safe, gentle and natural process of meditation. Just think of what the great yogis put themselves through, in trying to cleanse their bodies:- again we are only asking that you use common sense!

It is important that you don’t feel guilty about your lifestyle but that you have goals that are sensible and achievable that you can work gently towards at your own pace. We recommend that you talk to other meditators as their personal experiences may help you make wise informed decisions about any changes you feel you wish to make. Also feel free to ask us any specific questions about these topics: we will do our best to reply and post answers on the Q&A page.

Giving

All Spiritual journeys are the result of Giving in its purest form by the Spiritual Hierarchy: they ask nothing in return. We wish to emulate their generosity by employing a system to allow people to demonstrate giving with kindness and care when dealing with others.

We were inspired by the principle propounded in the book/film “Pay it Forward”. Although Utopian, it could act as the underlying tenet by which Spirituality reaches the masses. It simply states that instead of paying someone back that has done you a good turn or favour, to pay it forward in triplicate. this creates opportunities for altruism, spreading of Truth and avoids the many pitfalls associated with money.

giving

So we say to you all, everything that is done to assist you on your Spiritual journey is absolutely FREE in a monetary sense and FREE from all obligations and debts. However, should you in your turn wish to help or nurture someone towards the same goal we would urge you to embrace the same principle and give freely to that person or persons.

If each of us nurtured THREE others to Enlightenment and those THREE did the same, after only 21 steps we could Enlighten the whole planet.

“It is only the giving that makes you what you are”. (Ian Anderson)

Quest for Peace

A great friend asked the other day “What is the point of Initiating and Enlightening so many people”. We replied that the World was in a bad state and we desperately needed an injection of Spiritual Energy at this time. He then asked

“How do we neutralize the intentions of those who are repeatedly causing wars on this planet?”

We felt compelled to ask the Spiritual Hierarchy directly and this was their reply word for word.

Your answer lies not in how to neutralize (war intentions) but how to change the consciousness of your planet. Once the desire for power has turned into aggression there is not a lot to be done. What we are aiming to do is to go to the source of the psyche of mankind to try to neutralize this innate quest for power.
There will always be world leaders who are forced to comply with the demands from those they serve. What we are talking about is the general populace who are being contaminated by what you call the “Modern World”, which at this moment means the massive invasion of the New Technology which is crippling the minds of your children who are future adults.

What can be done? Well, on a Spiritual level we can raise the consciousness but don’t underestimate the power of visualization. It doesn’t take as many people as you might think to get together as a collective mind to visualize the war-torn areas and replace fear, hatred and search for power with love and forgiveness.
An individual persons’ thoughts are very powerful: what would happen if like minds are joined for a collective quest for good? You could start a movement with your group of meditators.

The Power Of Visualisation

After the above transmission we clarified a number of organizational points and arrived at the following:

The Spiritual Path is one of self development coupled with Service: here is a perfect opportunity to serve mankind. We are asking that once a week during meditation time we spend a proportion of it visualizing a shift towards Altruism, Love and Forgiveness. It is always more effective to do this together in a group, but not always possible; so better that we do this individually than not at all. Hopefully, in the future, as our numbers grow there will always be someone, somewhere visualizing for world peace at any given time.

It is important that we all visualize the same scenarios; so to help, we have have come up with a series of images:

  1. A power crazy dictator inciting violence in front of an angry mob.
  2. Scenes of a rocky, arid, grey war-torn land with ruins, soldiers and the firing of weapons.
  3. Mutilated bodies, crying children and distraught mothers.
  4. White light emanating from a blue sky and transforming the Earth into a beautiful verdant landscape in which soldiers are laying down their arms, weeping and embracing one another.
  5. Women and children laughing and running towards men returning from the war.
  6. Many people working with music playing/singing rebuilding the villages and towns.
  7. A new leader standing in front of a large crowd promising that the mistakes of the past will NEVER be made again.

People who meditate are generally better at visualization, but we should not exclude others. Anybody can help with this cause. We would therefore urge you to tell those around you about the visualization and invite them to join us. Remember all movements have to start small otherwise they can’t grow! We stress to you, that what we are asking for is in no way motivated by political affiliations or religious beliefs.

We state the above because a much WISER SOURCE is guiding us
